Another Stalemate for Clinton and Trump
The latest Gravis poll revealed that Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump are caught in a stalemate.
Which presidential candidate would you vote for?
- Hillary Clinton – 48%
- Donald Trump – 46%
The results of many of the recent general election polls have been incredibly favorable for Trump. While the majority of these polls have him locked in a tie with Clinton, that is a great position for someone like Trump to be in when you consider how radical some of the things he said early in the election were. Trump has greatly benefited from voter amnesia and he is knows this. For example, the controversial Muslim ban that earned him a lot of support from far-right Republicans, according to Trump, was “just a suggestion” and not a guaranteed law.
Clinton needs to step up her game and fast. She shouldn’t be tying with Trump in general election polls. As the Democratic candidate, and as the presumptuous president, she needs to put Trump down before he finds a way to gather support against her. However, Clinton is unable to focus on Trump as she is still parrying attacks from Bernie Sanders, who is looking for anyway to take her down.
If the general election was to happen today, Clinton would more than likely win, but as it stands, Trump is standing strong and is creating an aura of unpredictability through his ability to capitalize on the anger of Americans.
