Carson Surpasses Trump in a General Election Republican Poll

The latest poll by IBD and TIPP has placed Ben Carson atop of the Republican Party. Donald Trump has officially been beaten after reigning supreme for nearly two months.

Which Republican candidate would you vote for?

  • Ben Carson – 24%
  • Donald Trump – 17%
  • Marco Rubio – 11%
  • Carly Fiorina – 9%
  • Jeb Bush – 8%

Trump is no longer the king of the Republicans. Carson has been edging closer for several weeks and has officially passed the billionaire in this poll. While the future of both candidates is unknown, it shows that Trump’s support is waning and the candidate is struggling to hold his position. Trump’s tax plan was well received, but not something that traditional Republicans would support and it demonstrated that he may be more interested in catering to moderate voters.

Carson is a legitimate candidate and he knows how to hit the right tones with the common Republican voter. He is Christian, he dislikes Muslims, and he pushes an agenda that is rooted in classical Republican values. If he can continue to shore up votes from all Republican voters, he may be able to breakthrough and win the Republican nomination.

Marco Rubio is making serious strides in the party and has started to leapfrog both Jeb Bush and Carly Fiorina. If he can continue the surge, he may be able to secure votes with Republicans who are looking for a safe choice who is a well-versed politician that understands the needs of conservatives.

Is this site cheerleading for Carson ?
There is nothing Classically Republican” about him.
    He is an extreme Neoconservative.
Nor is he qualified for city council, let alone President.

I don’t care who he is, so long as he makes Trump quit. 🙂
I’m a libertarian, and, therefor, I am scum of the country to most right and left wingers. But whatever.
