Carson Tops Trump in Arizona Primary
The latest Arizona Republican primary by Behavior Research Center has revealed that Ben Carson leads Donald Trump, followed by Marco Rubio.
Which Republican candidate would you vote for?
- Ben Carson – 23%
- Donald Trump – 21%
- Marco Rubio – 15%
- Jeb Bush – 8%
- Ted Cruz – 5%
Both Carson and Trump battled it out for the top spot in this poll. Carson managed to edge out Trump by 2 percent, but his victory is well within the margin of error and demonstrates how close the Republican nomination is.
Carson’s performance in Tuesday night’s GOP debate was average. Trump on the other hand dominated Twitter and performed as expected, neither helping or hurting his campaign.
Rubio and Ted Cruz both had strong performances and will continue to rise the Republican rankings. Rubio already has in this poll, but Cruz has a lot of ground to make up if he wants to win the Republican nomination.
Other candidates like Jeb Bush and Carly Fiorina are lost causes at this point and have virtually no chance of winning the nomination. Bush had a poor performance in the debate and was caught in an embarrassing moment when he called Muslims “moderate Islamists,” while Fiorina provided nothing of substance during her answers.
