The latest on the presidential horse race.

Clinton and Trump Top Their Parties in Several Polls

Following the Democratic presidential debate, several polls have been released showcasing the Democrats and Republicans. In every single poll, both Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump have come away as the victors.

Massachusetts Presidential Primary (Emerson College)

  • Hillary Clinton – 59%
  • Bernie Sanders – 25%
  • Donald Trump – 48%
  • Ben Carson – 14%
  • Marco Rubio – 12%
  • Jeb Bush – 7%
  • Carly Fiorina – 7%

New Hampshire Presidential Primary (PPP)

  • Hillary Clinton – 41%
  • Bernie Sanders – 33%
  • Joe Biden – 11%
  • Donald Trump 28%
  • Ben Carson – 11%
  • Marco Rubio – 12%
  • Jeb Bush – 9%

Republican Presidential Primary (ABC / Washington Post)

  • Donald Trump – 32%
  • Ben Carson – 22%
  • Marco Rubio – 10%
  • Jeb Bush – 7%
  • Ted Cruz – 6%

Both Trump and Clinton dominated their respective parties. Trump has once again cemented himself atop the Republican Party, with Ben Carson trailing him in every poll. For nearly a month, Carson closed the gap and was challenging Trump for the top spot. Now, Carson is still a legitimate candidate, but he is struggling to topple Trump’s momentum.

On the other side of the political spectrum, Clinton is increasing her lead over Bernie Sanders. While Sanders had a solid performance in the debate, critics felt that Clinton’s was that much better and her results in most polls following the debate reflect that. If she can continue to build momentum, she will easily win the Democratic nomination and push into 2016 fighting against whoever emerged from the Republican Party.
