Clinton Beats Sanders in the First Post-Debate CNN Poll
The latest results tallied by CNN/ORC have revealed that Hillary Clinton is leading the Democrats. She decisively beat out Bernie Sanders and Joe Biden.
Which Democratic candidate would you vote for?
- Hillary Clinton – 45%
- Bernie Sanders – 29%
- Joe Biden – 18%
Clinton is still the candidate to beat for the Democrats. Most critics believe that she won the first debate and her numbers have increased following her performance. While Sanders put in a strong performance, his numbers in the polls have yet to climb to where they will need to be if he wants to win the Democratic nomination process. Sanders can still climb and beat Clinton, but he will need to step up his game in the second debate and come out with an exceptional performance.
Joe Biden is still the wildcard for the Democrats. He has yet to announce a campaign, but he is an extremely popular candidate that could easily disrupt the current campaign trail, should he decide to run. He is well established, experienced, and unlikely to bow down to bullying from Clinton’s campaign team.
For Jim Webb and the other Democratic candidates, there is virtually no chance that they will rise the rankings and become legitimate candidates. Webbs only chance to make noise was at the first debate and he failed to blow away voters. Following the debate, he turned to the media to complain about CNN and the alleged favoritism they show Clinton and Sanders.
