Clinton Bolsters Leader Over Trump to 9 Points
The latest general election poll by Reuters/Ipsos has placed Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton 9 points ahead of her Republican rival Donald Trump.
Which presidential candidate would you vote for?
- Hillary Clinton – 42%
- Donald Trump – 33%
- Gary Johnson – 6%
Trump continues to struggle in the polls. The 6 percent that Gary Johnson is hurting Trump more than it is hurting Clinton. As the election draws closer, Americans are wising up to the fact that Trump has very little to offer the country in ways of substantive policy.
While Clinton is by no means the answer to all of America’s problems, she appears to be a safer candidate. In addition, the email scandal is now over and she will not be indicted for her role in hosting a private email server. Whether she knowingly committed a crime or not doesn’t matter at this point as the FBI determined that it was pointless to prosecute the case. With the email scandal out of the way, Clinton can now focus on winning the election, something she should be able to accomplish easily considering her main opponent is none other than Trump.
