Clinton Edges Trump out by 5
The latest poll by Reuters/Ipsos has placed Hillary Clinton 5 points ahead of Donald Trump.
Which presidential candidate would you vote for?
- Hillary Clinton – 40%
- Donald Trump – 35%
Most experts have concluded that Clinton had a stronger convention. Her performance at the Democratic National Convention brought the party together, made Bernie Sanders’ defiant supporters look petty, and attracted a lot of positive attention.
In contrast, Trump’s Republican National Convention was clumsy, awkward at times, full of drama, and was rampant with disunity. Following the RNC, Trump blamed the party for poorly planning the event, even though he played a large part in picking the event’s speakers.
As the election draws closer, Clinton should be able to build momentum and slowly put Trump down. However, she will need to find a way to overcome the recent DNC drama and to convince voters that she is the right candidate to lead the United States. The best way she can accomplish this is by proposing meaningful policy that helps her win over undecided voters. Even though her trustworthiness is under question, she is safer pick than Trump and will more than likely stick to centrist policy that heavily favors the current economic model.
