Clinton Leads Trump by 8 points
The latest poll by Monmouth University has placed Hillary Clinton 8 points ahead of Donald Trump.
Which presidential candidate would you vote for?
- Hillary Clinton – 49%
- Donald Trump – 41%
Trump continues to struggle in the polls against Clinton. Voters are starting to realize that Trump offers them very little in terms of substantive policy. His racist rhetoric has won him the racist vote, but it does very little in regards to moderate voters, which make up a much larger portion of the American population.
Clinton continues to rise in the polls, and that says a lot considering her general unpopularity with the American people. Clinton’s next step should be to choose a vice president that compliments her campaign well. Selecting Sen. Elizabeth Warren would instantly bring in a large portion of Bernie Sanders supporters. Her progressive chops would be a most welcome addition to Clinton’s campaign, but there would be some tension between Warren and Clinton on the issue of Wall Street.
None the less, all the power is in Clinton’s court as Trump continues to crash and burn, unable to devote his attention to any one policy for more than a fraction of a second.
