Clinton Tops Trump in 2 Polls
- Hillary Clinton – 44%
- Donald Trump – 39%
- Hillary Clinton – 41%
- Donald Trump – 32%
It is now Clinton’s time. All the momentum is in her court. Her passive campaign to date hasn’t forced her into any dangerous positions, unlike her opponent. Clinton has all the power to choose a path, to select a vice president that will compliment her campaign, and with the recent Orlando tragedy, she has a lot of sway when it comes to taking on gun control as a major issue.
If Clinton continues to play the slow game, she will build votes and beat Trump in the election without any resistance. Trump’s biggest enemy is himself. He continues to say controversial things, back his Muslim ban, and he is the master at going out of his way to paint himself as a racist bigot. At this point, it seems unlikely that he will be able to win over any of Bernie Sanders supporters and the majority of independent voters seem more likely to side with Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson.
Clinton should be able to beat Trump in a debate, so long as she sticks to substantive policy and avoids getting entangled in one of Trump’s famous devolved discussions.
