Clinton Widens the Gap by 7 over Trump
Hillary Clinton has managed to widen her lead over Donald Trump by 7 points in the latest CNN/ORC poll.
Which presidential candidate would you vote for?
- Hillary Clinton -49%
- Donald Trump – 42%
While Clinton’s lead isn’t ideal and will need to be increased if she wants to win the election, it is a solid start for the Democratic candidate. With her email scandal concluded, many Americans are upset and are wary to trust the candidate. If she can continue to build trust with voters, push progressive policy, bring in Bernie Sanders supporters, and highlight all of Trump’s major flaws, she should be able to win the election.
In most election cycles, no one would have ever thought a candidate like Trump could win, but in 2016, he is somehow proving us all wrong. While many experts don’t believe Trump has a chance to win the election, those same experts predicted he would get destroyed in the primaries. If there is one thing to take away from Trump and his campaign, it is that it is extremely unpredictable. Trump isn’t the most political savvy candidate, he is at times racist, he has alienated many demographics in the country, and his policies are insane at times, but somehow, he continues to remain relevant and a large portion of Americans are willing to take a chance on him in order to promote a new type of politics.
