Hillary Clinton Increases Her Lead over Trump to 6 Points
The latest general election poll by USA Today/Suffolk has revealed that Hillary Clinton continues to lead Donald Trump by 6 points.
Which presidential candidate would you vote for?
- Hillary Clinton – 46%
- Donald Trump – 40%
Clinton continues to lead Trump in the various general election polls. While her leads are slim, she should easily build on them as the election draws closer. The biggest baggage Clinton is carrying right now is her ongoing FBI investigation. In recent days, she has been cooperative with the FBI and many experts predict that she will not get indicted. Barring an indictment, most Americans will forget about the email scandal, meaning that she will head into the November election as the overwhelming favorite.
On the other side, Trump cannot stay out of the media. For the past few days, the main story has been about Trump tweeting an anti-Semitic picture featuring Clinton, the Star of David, and piles of cash. Twitter has absolutely shredded Trump for his role in promoting such a hateful tweet. To make things worse, Trump has refused to apologize, and instead, tried to suggest that the Star of David was simply a sheriff’s star and nothing more.
As November approaches, Trump’s only chance to gain in the polls is to start discussing substantive policy and to avoid the buffoonery that has come to define him thus far.
