New Hampshire: Trump and Clinton Lead Their Parties
The latest New Hampshire primary poll by Gravis has revealed that Donald Trump has retaken the lead for the Republicans and Hillary Clinton has maintained the large gap between her and Bernie Sanders.
Which Republican candidate would you vote for?
- Donald Trump – 29%
- Ted Cruz – 12%
- Marco Rubio – 10%
- Jeb Bush – 8%
- Chris Christie – 8%
- Ben Carson – 7%
Which Democratic candidate would you vote for?
- Hillary Clinton – 57%
- Bernie Sanders – 35%
- Martin O’Malley – 4%
Trump managed to secure a substantial lead. In the recent weeks, he had struggled to beat Ben Carson, but in those poll, Carson’s numbers dipped substantially and Trump came out well ahead of his opponent. Other notables in this poll include Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio, both of which came out ahead of Carson, something that doesn’t usually happen outside of regional polls in the states they come from.
For the Democrats, Clinton is still holding a commanding lead over Sanders. Many critics believe she won Saturday night’s Democratic debate. Sanders hurt his position in the debate as he went on the offensive, making him look desperate and petty in the process. While Clinton offered some strange answers to the questions, most notably her 9/11 answer, she managed to deflect Sanders and Martin O’Malley’s criticisms.
