New Hampshire: Trump Shines, Sanders Topples Clinton
The latest New Hampshire survey by Fox News has revealed that Donald Trump continues to hold a commanding lead over the Republicans, while Hillary Clinton has lost her entire lead to Bernie Sanders.
Which Democratic candidate would you vote for?
- Bernie Sanders – 45%
- Hillary Clinton – 44%
- Martin O’Malley – 5%
Which Republican candidate would you vote for?
- Donald Trump – 27%
- Ben Carson – 18%
- Ted Cruz – 18%
- Marco Rubio – 16%
There are many interesting results from this survey. Trump is still the king of the Republicans, nothing has changed there. Ben Carson’s numbers are stagnating and both Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio are poised to overtake him in the polls. Cruz is as equally religious as Carson, but he has a better grip on politics, foreign policy, and the general subtleties requires of a politician.
Even more interesting was the fact that Clinton lost to Sanders in this poll. For nearly a month, Clinton has maintained a staggering lead over Sanders, often beating him by 20 to 30 points. However, in this poll, she lost to Sanders by 1 point. While this loss is well within the margin of error, it is cause for concern that Sanders managed to erase her double digit lead. The biggest enemy to the Clinton campaign is a momentous Sanders. If Sanders can capitalize on the momentum, he may be able to push into 2016 as the lead Democratic candidate and become the next president of the United States.
