PPP Poll Places Trump and Clinton at the Top
The latest poll by PPP has revealed that Donald Trump is leading the Republicans, while Hillary Clinton maintains her spot as the top dog for the Democrats. Both Trump and Clinton have led their parties in most of major polls as of late, but Carson and Sanders are slowly closing the gap.
Which Republican candidate would you vote for?
- Donald Trump – 25%
- Ben Carson – 18%
- Jeb Bush – 10%
- Scott Walker – 6%
Which Democratic candidate would you vote for?
- Hillary Clinton – 55%
- Bernie Sanders – 20%
The results for the Republican Party were pretty standard. Trump held his lead, while Carson came in second. Bush made a slight resurgence, but he remains a lame candidate by voters standards and he is unlikely to gain any momentum in the coming polls.
For the Democrats, Sanders took a major slide down the polls. In various recent polls, he had gained around 30-35 percent of voters, but he slid all the way to 20 percent in this one. Clinton is still the candidate to beat for the Democrats. However, she is viewed as a weak candidate by many and if Trump can continue to build support, he may be able to challenge her in 2016 if he survives the current Republican free-for-all.
