Sanders Ties Clinton in Nevada
The latest poll out of Nevada by TargetPoint has revealed that Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders are tied for the lead.
Which Democratic candidate would you vote for?
- Hillary Clinton – 45%
- Bernie Sanders – 45%
There haven’t been many Nevada polls yet and the primary is right around the corner. Still, Clinton used to lead Sanders by a substantial margin in the state and it shows how far she has fallen in the polls.
Sanders is starting to launch a legitimate campaign and many voters are starting to see him as a candidate that has the potential to become the next president. He still has a lot of work to do and will need to flush out his platform if he wants to overtake Clinton and become the Democratic nominee, but he is well on his way already.
Clinton has been trending downwards for several months and it seems unlikely that she will be able to stop the bleeding. Most voters are distrustful of her, are angry with the establishment Democrats, and are looking for meaningful change, something that she cannot provide given her current platform and political affiliations.
On the other hand, Sanders is basing his entire campaign on the grassroots movement and he is dedicated to helping low and middle class Americans achieve economic parity. His platform is far more attractive to the average American as it promises free healthcare, education, and other useful services that will benefit the masses.
