Trump and Clinton Top End of March National Poll
The latest national poll by Pew Research has placed Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton at the top of their respective parties.
Which Democratic candidate would you vote for?
- Hillary Clinton – 49%
- Bernie Sanders – 43%
Which Republican candidate would you vote for?
- Donald Trump – 41%
- Ted Cruz – 32%
- John Kasich – 20%
If you are Clinton, it is time to worry about the probability of Bernie Sanders pulling off the impossible. For weeks, it looked as if Sanders was finished, but a sweep in Alaska, Hawaii, and Washington put him back on the map and provided him with the much needed momentum that he is benefiting from now.
Clinton will probably win the nomination, but it’s not as clear cut as it once was. Early on in the primaries, many saw her as the candidate of choice and by the middle of primary season, that was the consensus conclusion again. However, her campaign underestimated the resilience of Sanders and his supporters.
As for the Republicans, Trump is still the candidate to beat. He is loud, proud, and wants to “make America great again.” However, his numbers continue to dwindle as it becomes clearer and clearer that he doesn’t have any idea how to make America great again. The only candidate that can beat Trump is Ted Cruz, but he too is a lame duck candidate, and at times, he appears equally as incapable as Trump.
