Trump and Clinton Top the Polls in Indiana
The latest Indiana poll by ARG has revealed that both Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump are at the top of their respective parties.
Which Democratic candidate would you vote for?
- Hillary Clinton – 51%
- Bernie Sanders – 43%
Which Republican candidate would you vote for?
- Donald Trump – 41%
- Ted Cruz – 32%
- John Kasich – 21%
Even though the nominations are more or less locked up, the polls must go on. Trump and Clinton continue to poll well heading into the conventions.
For Trump, he needs to continue to secure the leftover states and work hard on looking more presidential. If he can start to win back women and Latino voters, he will greatly increase his chances in the general election. In addition, he needs to find a way to court Bernie Sander’s angry supporters and to tap into their anti-Clinton feelings.
As for Clinton, the same could be said in reverse for her. She looks poised to win the nomination, but she is still an incredibly unpopular candidate and she somehow makes Trump look like a viable option. If she wants to win, she needs to win back Sander’s supporters. She should be able to beat Trump in a general election. Still, she needs to improve her image in the public’s eye if she wants to guarantee her victory.
