Trump and Clinton Win Florida Primaries, Carson Only 4 Points Behind
The latest primary poll for Florida has been released by the Florida Times. Donald Trump led the Republicans, closely trailed by Ben Carson, while Hillary Clinton won the Democrats by a large margin.
Which Democrat would you vote for?
- Hillary Clinton – 52%
- Bernie Sanders – 20%
- Joe Biden – 15%
Which Republican would you vote for?
- Donald Trump – 29%
- Ben Carson – 25%
- Jeb Bush – 19%
- Marco Rubio – 6%
- Carly Fiorina – 5%
- Ted Cruz – 3%
- Scott Walker – 1%
The results of Florida aren’t all that surprising for the Democrats. Clinton is the easy choice for the average voter from Florida who votes Democrat. She is bland and safe choice when compared to Sanders, who many label as a socialist.
For the Republicans, Trump managed to hold his lead, but Carson is closing the gap quickly and may overtake him in the coming weeks. Trump has had a relatively quiet week in the media. Carson is persuading voters in every poll that he is a better choice than Trump, a decision that is easily affirmed by his training as a neurosurgeon.
Bush is climbing the standings again, but a large portion of his high ranking in this poll is due to his past position as Florida’s governor. Walker has fallen off the face of the planet and no longer appears to be a viable candidate when compared to the likes of Trump and Carson.
