Trump Beats out Bush in Florida Primaries
In a recent poll by the Florida Times, Donald Trump managed to beat out Jeb Bush in a state that Bush used to be the governor of. Trump’s dominance has been a common theme in many polls showcasing the Republican Party and it seems highly likely that Trump may head into 2016 as the head of the Republicans.
Who would you want to represent the Republicans in an election?
- Donald Trump – 27%
- Jeb Bush – 26%
- Ted Cruz – 8%
- Ben Carson – 8%
- Marco Rubio – 7%
- Scott Walker – 6%
- Mike Huckabee – 4%
- Rand Paul – 2%
The top two were fairly typical. Trump maintained his lead, edging out Bush in a state that he should have won due to his past work as governor. Scott Walker dropped significantly in this poll and he also struggled in recent polls in Georgia and South Carolina. He may be falling out of touch with voters and the new race may be between only Bush and Trump.
In other polls, Ben Carson has gained popularity and even came in third place. Previously, he was a middle of the pack contender, but he tied for third in this poll and came in third in South Carolina and Georgia.
