The latest on the presidential horse race.

Trump Continues to Falter Against Clinton

The latest general election poll by the Economist/YouGov has revealed that Hillary Clinton continues to hold a minor lead over Donald Trump.

Which presidential candidate would you vote for?

  • Hillary Clinton – 42%
  • Donald Trump – 37%
  • Gary Johnson – 7%

Clinton still holds a small lead over Trump, but that may change in the coming days as a new “Black Lives Matter” memo leaked on Wednesday. In the memo – that was stolen from House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi – Democratic candidates were asked not to work with Black Lives Matter and were even given strict instructions on how to deal with them. The memo cited the current presidential candidates difficulty in dealing with Black Lives Matter as justification for the claims.

This leak will make the Democrats look bad and will put Clinton in the spotlight with Black Lives Matter and other pro-African-American groups. The timing is bad for the Democrats as Trump is trying to make inroads with the African-American community. Still, Trump has a long way to go, as a recent poll showed that he had a 97 percent unfavorable rating with the community, something that he will need to improve on drastically if he wants to win over their support and challenge Clinton.
