Trump Continues to Fly High as Clinton Stumbles at the Polls
Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is still the man to beat at the polls. In the latest poll by the LA Times/USC Tracking, Trump managed to beat Hillary Clinton by 7 points.
Which presidential candidate would you vote for?
- Donald Trump – 48%
- Hillary Clinton – 41%
Trump continued to poll well near the end of the week. While he still makes the odd blunder in the media, he has worked hard to clean up his act and to appear more presidential in the eyes of voters. Following Saturday night’s explosion in New York City, Trump used the incident as justification for voters as to why they should vote for him in the upcoming election.
Additionally, his growing numbers at the polls can largely be attributed to the questions surrounding Clinton’s health. Many voters are unsure of Clinton’s future, if she’ll be able to finish the election and serve as president, or if she will bow out due to a concerning medical condition. With so many unknowns, many voters are nervous to vote for Clinton and are starting to feel comfortable with Trump.
The presidential debates are approaching quickly and they will provide Clinton with a great opportunity to win back voters. Trump should struggle at the debates, so long as Clinton can keep the discussion on policy and refrain from letting them devolve into a high school soap opera.
