Trump Crushes Rubio in Two Florida Polls

Donald Trump ran away in two Florida polls by the Florida Times-Union and the Trafalgar Group. In both polls, Trump decimated Marco Rubio, beating him by nearly 20 points.

Florida Times-Union

  • Donald Trump – 43%
  • Marco Rubio – 24%
  • Ted Cruz – 21%
  • John Kasich – 10%

Trafalgar Group

  • Donald Trump – 42%
  • Marco Rubio – 23%
  • Ted Cruz – 21%
  • John Kasich – 11%

If you’re Trump’s campaign manager, you have to love the current polls coming out of Florida. If their numbers are accurate, Trump will more than likely put the nail in the coffin that is Rubio’s campaign. A decisive loss in Florida will all but guarantee that Rubio suspends his campaign, as a loss in his home state is a major sign of weakness.

While Ted Cruz is still hanging on, most of the eastern states will be incredibly unfriendly to his campaign and should be states that Trump easily wins. Expect Cruz to pick up most of the Bible belt and other related states. As for John Kasich, he will more than likely win Ohio, but lose everything else.

The only thing standing in Trump’s way is the Republican Party himself. The upcoming Republican convention is a huge mystery and it remains to be seen if the party will cannibalize itself by forcing Trump out in favor of an unpopular candidate like Mitt Romney or a complete unknown.
