Trump Dominates the Republicans, Clinton Maintains
According to the latest poll by CNN/ORC, Republican frontrunner Donald Trump continues to dominate the pack, while Hillary Clinton maintained a respectable lead over Bernie Sanders.
Which Republican candidate would you vote for?
- Donald Trump – 39%
- Ted Cruz – 18%
- Marco Rubio – 10%
- Ben Carson – 10%
Which Democratic candidate would you vote for?
- Hillary Clinton – 50%
- Bernie Sanders – 34%
If you are Trump, you are confident heading into 2016. As the nomination approaches, he continues to hold his lead against his Republican opponents. Ted Cruz is putting up a strong fight, consistently finishing in second, but he has struggled to overtake Trump in the majority of polls. Marco Rubio is out of time and needs to make a move immediately if he wants to seriously challenge Trump for the Republican nomination. Ben Carson is barely holding on and has struggled to make headlines, resulting in his downward trend to the bottom of the pack when it comes to tier one candidates.
For the Democrats, Sanders is slowly chipping away at Clinton’s lead. Recent news has suggested that the majority of Americans distrust Clinton and feel that she is dishonest. On top of that, Sanders is raising more money and looks poised to push into 2016 with a financially healthy campaign. Clinton is still the frontrunner for the Democrats, but it’s not as clear cut as it once was, and one simple mistake could result in her being passed by Sanders
