Trump Leads CNN’s Republican Party Poll
The latest poll by CNN and ORC International has revealed the current standings for the Republican Party. Donald Trump came in at the top, while Jeb Bush made a resurgence after slumping for a few weeks.
Which Republican candidate would you vote for?
- Donald Trump – 24%
- Jeb Bush – 13%
- Ben Carson – 9%
- Scott Walker – 8%
- Marco Rubio – 8%
- Rand Paul – 6%
- Ted Cruz – 5%
- Carly Fiorina – 5%
In this poll, Bush switched places with Walker. For the last few major polls, Bush had sunk to fourth or fifth. He is making a resurgence and has managed to beat out Carson, who climbed the standings after a successful debate. Trump is still king of the Republicans and it remains to be seen whether or not he can hold his lead heading into the official nomination and whether he can capture the interest of Americans and push for president in 2016.
As for the rest of the candidates like Rubio, Paul, Huckabee, Fiorina, and Cruz, they don’t really stand a chance to seize the Republican candidacy unless something controversial happens that uproots any of the current candidates, which seems unlikely considering that Trump has maintained his lead despite his risky comments.
