Trump Maintains Lead for Republican Presidential Nomination
The latest poll by NBC and the Wall Street Journal has revealed that Donald Trump continues to lead the Republicans.
- Which Republican candidate would you like to see run for president?
- Donald Trump – 19%
- Scott Walker – 15%
- Jeb Bush – 14%
- Ben Carson – 10%
- Ted Cruz – 9%
- Mike Huckabee – 6%
- Rand Paul – 6%
- Marco Rubio – 5%
The results of this poll were pretty standard. Trump continues to lead the pack, while Walker and Bush trail him. It still remains to be seen whether or not Trump is a legitimate candidate. At the very least, he provides an infinite supply of entertainment value to the current American political climate. Second place seems to be consistently dominated by Bush and Walker. Both candidates are polling well and frequently exchange rankings based on the location of voters and the popularity of specific issues.
All three candidates hold similar views towards specific issues, but Trump tends to be the most extreme of the three. His views on immigration have been strongly worded and have alienated many. He recently challenged President Barack Obama, claiming that he has hurt blacks and made their lives worse through his policies.
