Trump Wins a California Poll, Carson a Close Second
The latest poll by the Field Research Corporation has revealed that Donald Trump is the top candidate for the Republicans in California. His victory saw him narrowly edge out Carson by a measly 2 percent.
Which Republican candidate would you vote for?
- Donald Trump – 17%
- Ben Carson – 15%
- Carly Fiorina – 13%
- Marco Rubio – 10%
- Jeb Bush – 8%
- Ted Cruz – 6%
Trump’s victory in California was too narrow to call important. In reality, both Trump and Carson were the winners in California, while Fiorina closed the gap in third, ahead of the other candidates in the party. Despite Fiorina’s history in the state as the CEO of HP, she didn’t manage to win over voters.
Trump has stabilized his position in the polls following a two week period where he stumbled drastically, losing a large portion of his lead to Carson. There is a possibility that Carson may stumble in upcoming polls after he embarrassed himself with several comments regarding the recent Umpqua Community College shooting and a failed answer towards an important question regarding the debt ceiling.
Marco Rubio is still climbing in the polls and has cemented himself as a legitimate candidate. As the Republican nomination looms closer, watch Rubio’s progress in the polls. He is campaigning hard to win the party’s nomination and there is a lot of potential that he may be able to win it all when the smoke clears between Trump and Carson.
