Trump Wins the Latest Georgia Primary
The latest poll in Georgia by WSB and Landmark has revealed that Donald Trump is in the lead for the Republican Party, followed in second place by Ben Carson.
Which Republican candidate would you vote for?
- Donald Trump – 31%
- Ben Carson – 18%
- Carly Fiorina – 13%
- Marco Rubio – 9%
- Jeb Bush – 8%
- Ted Cruz – 8%
Trump maintained his lead in a traditionally Republican state. If Trump wants to win the Republican nomination, he will need to lock down the major red states and win over votes of voters that are on the fence. He currently holds a respectable lead over the rest of the candidates, but there is a real fear that he is running out of steam now that he has announced his major tax reform plan.
Carson continues to trail Trump, but he has maintained second place for several weeks. His campaign is in healthy shape, he is receiving a lot of donations, and he continues to appeal to Republicans who view religion as an important topic. Carson hasn’t shied away from calling out Muslims and has made claims that they couldn’t effectively lead the country.
Carly Fiorina is barely hanging on to third place. Her campaign is pushing forward using the fake Planned Parenthood tapes. The existence of the evidence Fiorina cites has been proven fake, but she continues to cling to her delusional reality that these tapes actually exist and are relevant in a scientific discussion. Still, the majority of Republican voters will side with any candidate who stands against Planned Parenthood and she may be able to siphon votes from angry conservatives who are looking for a strongly pro-life candidate.
