Virginia: Carson and Clinton Take Home America’s Birthplace
The latest Virginia primary by the University of Mary Washington has revealed that Ben Carson and Hillary Clinton are in lead of their respective parties.
Which Republican candidate would you vote for?
- Ben Carson – 29%
- Donald Trump – 24%
- Marco Rubio – 11%
- Ted Cruz – 10%
- Jeb Bush – 5%
Which Democratic candidate would you vote for?
- Hillary Clinton – 63%
- Bernie Sanders – 27%
- Martin O’Malley – 5%
Carson retook the lead from Donald Trump for the Republicans. The two candidates have been swapping the lead back and forth over the last few polls, making it tough to predict which candidate will win the nomination. However, as Trump and Carson battle it out, both Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio are making gains in the polls and may be able to overtake Trump and Carson by the time the Republican nomination is made.
For the Democrats, Clinton is unstoppable at this point. Bernie Sanders didn’t perform well in the most recent debate. He came off too aggressive and failed to focus on the issues that are important to him. His answer about climate change being the biggest threat in the world may be true, but it won’t win him support two days after a major act of terrorism. The average American barely understands climate change and considers ISIS to be a much larger threat, whether true or not.
